“Growing up in the country, gardening was always part of my lifestyle. Before I could ride a bike, I was hilling potatoes, learning to forage wild berries, making bouquets of wildflowers, and growing vegetables. This background and desire to learn more eventually led me to a university biology program and a summer job as a weeder for a garden maintenance company near Edmonton. My experience there opened my eyes to a career in horticulture, building a career in an industry I am passionate about. While being mentored by other distinguished gardeners in the Edmonton area, I completed the Prairie Horticulture Certificate program through Olds College and its partner schools. Now, with over a decade of professional horticultural experience, and a lifetime of enthusiasm for plants, Indigo Garden Service has been making Edmonton a little more beautiful, one garden at a time.”
