Indigo is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable gardener to join our team for this season. About the Role
As an Experienced Seasonal Gardener, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing residential landscapes. You’ll work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality horticultural care and ensure our clients receive professional, reliable service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed garden maintenance including pruning, weeding, deadheading, dividing, and tending perennials and shrubs

  • Operate small equipment and tools safely and efficiently

  • Install and maintain annuals, perennials, and shrubs according to best horticultural practice

  • Water, fertilize, and mulch as needed to promote plant health and longevity

  • Identify plant health issues and apply appropriate corrective actions

  • Communicate clearly and courteously with clients, team members, and supervisors throughout the day

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in gardening, landscaping, or horticultural maintenance

  • Education or formal training in horticulture is a strong asset

  • Reliable transportation and a valid Class 5 driver’s licence

  • Physically capable of outdoor labour, including lifting 50+ lbs and working in varied weather conditions

  • Self‑motivated and detail‑oriented with strong time management skills

  • Customer service–focused with an eye for quality and aesthetics

Position Details

  • Term: Approximately 5 months, with potential for seasonal re‑employment in 2026

  • Hours: Approximately 26–42 hours per week; hours may vary due to weather and workload

  • Location: Edmonton and surrounding area

  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience
